Beata Wilczek

Social Design and Sustainable Innovation

Beata Wilczek is a Berlin-based educator, artist and founder of UNFOLDING STRATEGIES, consultancy dedicated to sustainability, social responsibility and systemic change in the fashion industry.

She has actively worked in design education for the last decade, and taught interdisciplinary courses in fashion, design and social sciences at such universities as ESMOD, UdK and AMD in Berlin, Germany, Bunka Gauken and ESMOD in Tokyo, Japan, The Shenkar in Tel Aviv, Israel, School of Form in Warsaw, Poland and Royal College of Arts in London, UK. She has worked as a consultant and concept developer on projects for such clients as Dior, Moncler, Nokia and Space Doctors and her works have been published in New York Times, Vice and Novembre Magazine.

She is currently developing a curriculum for MA Social Design and Sustainable Innovation at the Design Academy Berlin. She holds MA from Central Saint Martins, University of Arts London and MSc from SWPS University, Warsaw and is pursuing a PhD in Fashion Studies at the University of Fine Arts Vienna.
