Andrea Bauer

Innovation and Business Design

Andrea Bauer is a strategist, innovation consultant and business designer. She has been working on the implementation of innovation projects for more than 15 years and is involved in strategy development, brainstorming and market launches.


To this end, she founded BEAM Studio, a management consultancy which aims to create new fields of business and services for companies using new technologies. She implemented the mobile service and digital strategy of various telecommunications companies, financial institutions and premium, international vehicle manufacturers. Recently, she was responsible for the development of the digital and mobile strategy of an Indian company and the launch of its first connected car project.

She is also a founding partner of the consulting association, katapult:NOW, and co-founder and curator of the D.DAY Network think tank, where she promotes the discourse on the effects of the digital era with leading thinkers and creators.

She is the author of two books: Trusting in Mobile Payment (2013) and The Krypto Economy (2017). As a speaker, presenter, co-creator and mentor, she also supports creative and technology collectives such as POC21, re:publica, Soho House and OuiShare.

She was educated as an economist and digital expert at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences, the University of the Arts Berlin and the University of St. Gallen.

Since 2017, Andrea Bauer has been a lecturer for innovation and business design as part of the Sustainable Branding course in the master's programme of Strategic Design at the design akademie berlin.
