Your curriculum covers packaging design as well as advertising psychology, typography as well as design, art and media history, digital layouts as well as printing techniques. You will develop style, taste and an understanding of why something speaks to someone visually. The internationally recognised Bachelor’s course provides you with a variety of creative techniques as well as the fundamental conceptual knowledge. You learn how to express messages visually. To achieve this, you will use classic graphic design, analogue and digital photography, film and web development and illustrative design, sensibly and in a targeted way.

The university includes studio spaces, two modern equipped photography studios, a dark room, a complete film studio and high-performing computer for post-production of computer-generated images, as well as film and motion design studios as part of its inspiring environment.

The internationally recognised Bachelor of Arts (BA) offers a professional foundation for immediate career progression. You will also be able to access numerous postgraduate and Master’s programmes both at home and abroad.
Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities. As experts in visual design, they are highly sought in advertising departments of large companies, as well as advertising agencies, agencies for multimedia communication or packaging design, in the media, cultural institutes and state institutions.
You can apply in writing or online and will participate in a two-stage selection process. In order to highlight your passion for design, please complete a portfolio with 10 to 15 of your own design works. You can upload the portfolio together with your application and send it to us, or bring it with you to your personal interview.
