MA Strategic Design Goes Swiss.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rhaetian Railway
needs a new function: Strategic design students explore opportunities to innovate.

From the 4 to the 8 May, the students of M.A. Strategic Design visited Switzerland for the course 'Innovation Project II'. They are working on re-purposing the Albula Tunnel located in Graubünden, Switzerland, which will be closed and replaced in 2020 by the newly build tunnel. The Tunnel comes under Rhaetian Railway RhB and the students deeply immersed themselves in the Swiss culture.

It proved to be an illustrious trip consisting of an onsite visit to the Albula tunnel, meeting with experts, interviewing with locals and travelers and hiking over Preda.

The 'Innovation Project II' is led by Prof. Katrin Androschin and Prof. Julia Leihener, programme directors MA Strategic Design.

The international programme ‘Master of Arts Strategic Design’ is a full-time, two year programme. It is designed to challenge students with a design background in order to prepare them for a life as design professionals in a complex and ever transforming world.
